Other accolades include being a Reebok-sponsored athlete and member of the
Reebok C.O.R.P.S. Group for four years. In 2002 she became a MasterTrainer for
WITS, the World Instructor Training Schools.
In keeping with the fitness/health theme, Kathy treasures volunteering and
fund-raising at the Rescue Mission, American Red Cross, Arthritis Foundation,
Oswego County Health Fair, Menorah Park, several Syracuse- area schools' Kid's
Health and Fitness Seminars and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She also
has been a spokesperson at local spas, salons and athletic footwear businesses
to help promote health and wellness.
Mixing business, pleasure and fitness together, Kathy established Camp Caiello. Camp Caiello can be anything from an all-out pamper/rejuvenation party with salon and health services, dinner, a party, or boot camp (“Sneaker Camp,” as she refers to it). She once took on a group of seven individuals looking to lose weight and get in shape, on a grueling 90-day course that started at 5 a.m., six days a week for 90 days to help them reach their goals. Kathy says that it was a lot of work for everyone involved, but it was great fun and everyone got great results. At the end of 90 days, the secret to success was due to Kathy, the instructor and to the individuals who were many pounds lighter and much healthier.
